Stratasys, Limbitless Extend Partnership on 3D-Printed Prosthetics for Children

Additive manufacturing solutions company Stratasys has expanded its 12-year collaboration with Limbitless Solutions, a nonprofit research facility at the University of Central Florida dedicated to empowering children through bionics.

The collaboration has already delivered hundreds of 3D-printed prosthetic devices to children in the U.S. and beyond, the duo said. The expanded collaboration will target renewed focus on sustainability, education, and increasing access to 3D-printed prosthetics for children everywhere.

Since 2014, Stratasys has supported Limbitless through material and technology donations and engineering expertise. The collaboration has enabled Limbitless to produce prosthetic components, 3D-printed molds, and rapid prototypes using additive manufacturing.

The partnership includes a dedicated Limbitless lab at the University of Central Florida, equipped with multiple Stratasys systems, where students get hands-on experience using 3D printing to create social impact and build real-world engineering skills.
